Long Retired - She hit the first piece of water and squared out to pull right, worked her way to the long retired gun, established a small hunt and came up with the bird.

Island Bird - Drove wide left, handled in the corner of the field and to her bird.

Right Flyer - Excellent line and recovery

Left Flyer - Hawk went around the end of the pond and entered the area of the fall behind the blind, then quickly moves to his flyer hen.

Island Bird - He went left of the point which put his line wide left, but Hawk adjusted himself as he came to the last piece of water where he swam to his bird.

Long Retired - He went left of the hay bale that s at the base of the hill where the line is. He continues to fade left and is handled to his bird.

NOTE: We have been told that the Judges are still deliberating about this contestant.

Fun Fact on Tubb: He is the oldest dog competing now (1/12/09). He has one daughter 116 and one son 110 still competing in the 10th Series. He was the 2015 Purina and Retriever News High Point Amateur Dog in 2015 and the Winner of the 2014 NARC.

Right Flyer - Very Good Bird

Left Flyer - Tubb came in left of the holding blind but swung around and was on the bird.

Island Bird - Perfect Line right the bird!

Long Retired - He got left of the bale and entered the area of the fall wide left where he got hung up near the holding blind for island bird. He had multiple handles to out of that area and worked hard for his bird but he brought it back.

Right Flyer - Go Bird - Jack was a little wide right, but he came in beautifully for his bird.

Left Flyer - Staying drying, Jack took one or two big loops and got his bird.

Island Bird - Getting through the first pond, he went over the mounds and entered the second pond. He went up on the island wide left but made a quick turn and got it.

Long Retired - Going out left of the hay bales, Jack went into the water, came down across the field wide left. He was down wind and had to be handled back to the bird.

Left Flyer - Mully got out to the field, no water entry, made one quick loop and got his bird.

Island Bird - Getting through the first and second pieces of water, he got over the point, coming into the next bit of water to the right of the gunners. He quickly swam to the island and got the bird.

Right Flyer - Go Bird - Mully went through the water and squared his exit. Going over the moguls he went straight to his bird.

Long Retired - Taking a very wide line to the right, Mully had to get handled to his bird.

Handle 87. AFC TRULINES BIG BAD JACK, "Jack" LM, Wayne Carey

Jack and handler Wayne came to the line at 6:50 pm

S. Flyer - Got it so quick he almost walked on the water!

Flyer - Straight to the bird!

Middle Retired - Excellent line, then cut around the pond still looking, moving towards the the Middle Retired, so he was handled to the Middle Retired bird.

Middle Long - Went back out and got his bird.


Handle 68. FC-AFC 3R'S MR T SMOKEN JOE, "Smokie" LM, James Hurst

Smokie with handler James came to the line at 6:04 pm

S. Flyer - Good Bird

Flyer - Came into the area then left of the blind for a couple loops and back to the right and the bird

Middle Retired - Through the pond with a splash, a tight hunt and back with the bird.

Middle Long - Through the water way left of the mark, went deep and had to be handled to the bird.

Handle - 36. FC-AFC BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, "Petey" LM, Anne Marshall

Petey and handler Anne came to the line at 5:13 pm.


S. Flyer - Great start, nice line to the bird.

Flyer - Came in close to the guns, Petey had to hunt his way out to the bird.

Middle Long - Wide Wide left towards airing yard. He cut right to the blind and out to his bird.

Middle Retired - Headed straight to the bird and veered off and had to handled to the bird.

Handle - 34. FC-AFC LOCK FIVE'S GOT HER BLUE GENES ON, "Baby" LF, Bill Woodson

Baby and handler Bill came to the line at 5:01 pm

S. Flyer - Out of sight but she came back with the bird.

Flyer - Very mark

Middle Long - She hunt the blind then came back with the bird.

Middle Retired - Good initial line but ended right by the fence and handled

Handle - 31. FC-AFC SEASIDE'S GORGEOUS GEORGE, "Clooney" LM, Michael Robicheaux

Clooney and handler Michael came to the line at 4:41 pm.

S. Flyer - Perfect mark with a high jump to get in the pond.

Middle Retired - Went deep through the flyer area then left towrds the blind. He hunted up the middle retired bird and brought it back.

Middle Long - He went through the pond on the left side to the fall area. A tight hunt and he got the bird.

Flyer - Clooney drove through the flyer area and with a quick handle brought him back and he got the bird.


Handle - 107. RIVERWATCH GETS A LIMIT, "Limit" LM, Mark Medford

Limit and handler Mark Medford - to the line at 3:04 pm

S. Flyer - Nice

Flyer - Went wide right, curved in and got it.

Middle Retired - Handled with a left tweet then left.

Middle Long - Good line into the pond and got the bird.

Handle - 70. FC-AFC DOCTOR CABERNET JUST IN CASE, "Doc" LM, Erin O'Brien

Fun Fact on Doc: shares the same sire as 3 other competitors (71, 110 & 116), furthermore he is competing against his sire #54 Tubb. Doc is the youngest dog competing at this point (10/28/14). He completed his FC in August 2018 and AFC in April 2019.

Duck Flyer - Excellent Mark - Water; Land; Bird!

Rooster Retired - Doc got into the pond, headed past the mark, he quickly slowed down, got up by the blind and came down to the gun for his bird.

Pheasant Hen Flyer - Went through second pond and angled across the field, went back to the left side then back right and to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - Through the fall area and got deep. Had to handle back to the bird.

Handle - 68. FC-AFC 3R'S MR T SMOKEN JOE, "Smokie" LM, James Hurst

Fun Fact on Smokie: He completed his FC in October 2017 and AFC in June 2018.

Duck Flyer - Smokie got through the pond and weeks and went straight to the bird.

Rooster Retired - Going up the hill towards the blind, he turned right to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Flyer - He skimmed down the shore swimming towards the flyer guns. Going up the hill and with a straight line to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - Great line up the hill, he just got past the bird, a quick handle back.

Handle - 57. FC-AFC COOLWATER'S HOOKED ON SPRINGTIME, "Maya" LF, Alex Washburn

Fun Fact on Maya: She completed her AFC in April 2019 and FC in May 2019.

Duck Flyer - Maya hit the water at a nice angle, getting through the weeds, she got her bird.

Rooster Retired - Getting through the water, she angled the hill and hit it!

Pheasant Hen Flyer - She got out to the area in front of the guns and passed through up the hill to the right for a short turn then she came down to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - A great line angled up the hill, she passed the bird ten feet on the right and continued up the hill which lead to Alex having to handle her to get the bird.

Handle - 34. FC-AFC LOCK FIVE'S GOT HER BLUE GENES ON, "Baby" LF, Bill Woodson

Fun Fact on Baby: She is a litter mate with #125 Marvin. She completed her FC in March 2016 and AFC in October 2016.

Duck Flyer - Straight to the bird.

Rooster Retired - Baby got into the first pond, getting out she ran up the hill wide but quickly retured for her rooster.

Hen Pheasant Flyer - Taking a low line through the water, Baby got just left of the far right hay bale. She made a loop then up the hill in front of the guns and right to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - Baby was swimming towards the flyer, so Bill had to handle her to the bird.

Handle - 14. FC-AFC SUNDOG'S MAXIMUM PURSUIT, "Max" LM, Paula Elmes

Fun Fact on Max: He has a litter mate #91 Buster (4/13/11). He completed his FC in October 2014 and AFC in August 2015.

Duck Flyer - Nice Flyer

Rooster Retired - Max got through the pond and drove the hillside and was on his bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - Getting through the pond he got to the base of the hill. Sliding past the rooster retired he heads deep. He gets a quick handle back to his bird.

Pheasant Hen Flyer - Moving out in  a line similar to the hen retired, Max moves on with hesitation to cut across the draw and established a hunt for the flyer.

Handle - 12. FC-AFC ROUGH CREEK'S LIBERTY BELL, "Bella" LF, Mark Medford

Fun Fact on Bella: She completed her FC in March 2016 and her AFC in October 2017.

Duck Flyer - Bella got across the pond to the far shore, going around the boat and down the shore she got her bird.

Rooster Retired - Getting through the pond and to the top of the hill, Bella turned right and got her rooster pheasant.

Pheasant Hen Flyer - she caught the first pond and a piece of the second as she went towards the flyer. Getting in the draw between bird two and deep of the guns. She then got in front of the gun and her bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - Bella got into the first pond then the second and caught a piece of the third. She had a a quick one whistle handle and she got her bird.

Handle - 9. OTCH-AFC GOLDSTAR STEADFAST NATHAN, "Nate" LM, Connie Cleveland-Nolan

Fun Fact on Nate: He completed his AFC in September 2017. He is 1.5 points away from his FC.

Duck Flyer - Made quick work of finding this bird.

Rooster Retired - Nate hunts deep of the bird and expands a wide loop before coming into the bird.

Pheasant Hen Flyer - He got out to the bird through both ponds. Nate established a hunt on the hillside that expanded deep and into the draw. Another loop back in front of the gunners and he had his bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - He went across to the area and established a hunt left of the bird but had to handled to it.

Handle - 1. NAFC-FC STEADFAST'S BACHELOR SPECIAL, "Croc" LM, Monte Wulf

Fun Fact on Croc: He won the 2018 NARC. He completed is FC & AFC in September 2017.

Duck Flyer - Croc crossed the pond then worked down the shore. He worked his way up the hill and in a few steps he got his bird.

Rooster Retired - Got through the first pond, then went up the hill and got under the arc. A quick turn to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Flyer - Croc got across the ponds and up the hill. Went out in front of the guns and to the bird.

Pheasant Hen Retired - He got through the first pond and the back pond. He hunted deep behind the draw, then he got back to the valley and hunted all over. He was by the rooster area and had to be handled to the bird.
