Water – 1 whistle over the log through the cover and carried to shore, 6 whistles to the bird. Dog retrieved the bird without water entry.
Land – 1 whistle along the road, 1 whistle to get even with gunner, 6 more whistles beyond that to adjust line in the field. Multiple whistles at the end. Blind planter helped the dog.
